The Tag Game: Share!

I have been tagged by Stevia 'n Spice! I'm pretty sure everyone in blogland has seen this before but the idea is to share 7 random/weird facts about yourself:

1. I LOVE pearls and cameo jewelry
2. One year on St. Patrick's Day, the pub that I was at ran out of regular beer glasses. So they gave me a glass that held 1/2 litre of beer, and the people at the next table over began making bets with each other over whether or not I could chug the whole thing. It took me a couple tries, but I managed to do it! Made a whole bunch of money for it too:)

3. My hair went down to my waist until I chopped it off for cancer in grade 9
4. I adore traveling; I've lived in Canada, the Netherlands, and Spain. I've also done a whole range of different kinds of traveling: stayed with a family and helped to build a church with Canada World Youth in Costa Rica, went to an all-inclusive in the Dominican, and did the regular kind of traveling all over Western Europe with my family.
5. I'm not afraid of heights or snakes or walking around at night by myself and such, but I am a complete wimp when it comes to the cold (and that is really very frustrating when I live in a city nicknamed Winterpeg!)
6. For a really long time now I've wanted to be a police officer with the RCMP- it doesn't quite fit in with my plans anymore but a part of me would still like to do it. The ultimate fitness goal for me would be to successfully complete the Superior Male Benchmark for the PARE test.
7. The best writing I do is when I'm out walking.

Part of the rules of this game is that you're supposed to tag another 7 people. But many bloggers have been tagged before, and I don't want to be limited to only learning random/weird facts from a select few... so here's the deal: I want you to leave a comment with some little tidbit of information all about you! Engaging in some thoughtful introspection is very healthy:) If you don't usually have much time to think about you, then put everything on hold for a moment and think of something you'd like to share and leave a comment about it- it will be good for your mental health. Have a great weekend!

That was fun to read, Sagan!! I always hated the cold also! When I lived in Chicago, I thought Florida was only for vacations. I didn't think anybody really lived here :-) If you do not want to come here, I think the weather in Western Canada is very nice (and so are the people who live there)!

I'm like you with #1 and #4! :-)

Dr. J- hence the reason why I am planning on running away to live in Spain again... :)

Mark- hehe hmm guess I'm not so very weird after all... here's a freebie: I'm really, really afraid of sharks. Even though I've spent most of my life living in the middle of the continent.

Veggiegirl- I go NUTS over pearls and cameos... so so pretty, aren't they?!

Great facts!
When I was younger, when I walked from the bus stop back home (which was less than a block away), I would sing to myself or hum to make myself not be so afraid. LOL.

Traveling is fun! Yah for coming to Canada!

I love your fun facts about yourself - especially number 2, that's hilarious! I've never heard of an Irish pub running out of beer glasses, although figures on St Patty's day...

Love your facts! (I love pearls, too!)

And you must take some serious walks to do all of this blog-writing! :)

Sharon- aw that's so cute! I don't usually listen to music when I'm out walking because I feel compelled to sing along to the music hehe.

Catherine- I know! The only stranger thing would be if it ran out of beer. And that would just be scary, to see a pub on St Pattys Day run out of beer...

Ashley- oooh yes:)

Neat facts and a fun twist!

I once almost amputated my foot with a weedeater. My family has forbidden me to use one again. (they don't know I bought an itty bitty one for my new house.)

Hey Sagan!
Cool stuff - and I am afraid of heights and snakes. Those are two things I try to avoid!

Sagan said...

Kelly- I can't whistle either. That's funny that you have a stone in your leg- I can totally see you refusing to let anyone take it out. Hehe.

Cammy- eek! Those weedcutters are DANGEROUS.

Lance- I hope the fear doesn't hold you back:)

Mizfit- Thank you! It's looking up a little bit:)

Verry interesting! Hmmm, little known facts about the Bag Lady.....she can't whistle very well, either, but she can whistle with her fingers in her mouth (really, really loud, too!)

Her eyes change colour. Depending on what she's wearing and her mood. They are sorta kinda hazel most of the time, but can go from blue-grey to really quite green.
(How's that for weird?)

Bag Lady- that's so cool about your eyes! I had a friend who had eyes like that too. I wonder if there's a science behind it? And I wish I could whistle with my fingers in my mouth; I just fail miserably at it:)
